I managed the NBC App (iPhone, iPad and Android versions) from 2013-14. Representing 70% of network’s video views, the iOS app earned top billing on the iTunes homepage and currently has a 4.5/5 user rating. Some of what I did included:
- Overseeing the content calendar and tweaking it accordingly depending on the promotional requirements of each app
- Verifying that all key and episodic art was delivered correctly
- Scheduling custom app promotions for network priority events, .e.g. Olympics, NFL Football, etc.
- Identifying cross-promotional opportunities for other NBCUniversal apps, e.g. Saturday Night Live, The Voice, NBC Sports LiveExtra apps
- Ongoing analytics reporting using Omniture, Chartbeat, and Domo
- Wrote tutorials and trained new employees on how to update the apps
- Ensuring expired content is no longer available
